Camping @ Penyabong (Endau, Johor)

29 Dec 2005 - 31 Dec 2005
Camping at Pasir Lanun, Penyabong, Endau, Johor.

When we left for camping on 29 Dec 2005, all we knew was that we were going to camp somewhere in Johor; maybe Kuantan.

On the way to Johor, we stopped by and checked out a few potential camp sites before we finally stumbled upon Pasir Lanun - the most 'ideal' camp site. :-)

"Songie, wish you were here!!"

Left: 2nd last sunrise of 2005.
Right: Last sunrise of 2005.

Left: Our blue tent at camp site. Sole tent.
Right: Hurricane lamp.

Outdoor firewood cooking -- fully done by the guys!! *Thumbs up* Food seems to taste better outdoors. :D

Beach football.

Rock trekking.

Cave??

Jeans cuff caught fire!! Fire was doused off by water and sand.

Huge tent for rent at Pasir Lanun. Easily accommodates 10-20 pax. Only RM70 per night per tent.

A mollusc with tentacles! Caught, held & released.

Interesting book (Xue's biography)!! Good read!!

SMS-ing Songie =)

Polluted sea near Kampung Sepat @ Kuantan. We stopped by at this site on our way to Johor.

Pasir Lanun -- Designated camp site. Quiet campground surrounded by tall shady trees. Fringed by a field of woods. Steps away from the beach.

Weather was perfect. Despite the rainy season, there was no rain and it was not too hot. Brezzy all day long!! Constant wind unbelievably blew non-stop from morning till night... hence, no mosquitoes could bite! Plentiful shiny stars glazed the clear dark skies on both nights! Luck was on our sides. Pleasant, fun, refreshing & relaxing camp. Safe journey to & fro Johor. What more can we ask for? ^_^
